The Australian National Fabrication Facility – Queensland Node (ANFF-Qld), based at The University of Queensland, is excited to launch the next generation nano 3D printing tool MPO 100 based on Two-Photon Polymerization in our new, shiny and renovated cleanroom.
The system, developed by Multiphoton Optics GmbH and manufactured by its parent company Heidelberg Instruments, will provide cutting-edge fabrication capability in nano- and microfabrication to ANFF-Q.
Two-Photon Polymerization (TPP) is a unique technology for the realization of various applications as it is extremely flexible. Coming along with its intrinsic versatility, TPP is heading into two different directions namely 3D Lithography (resolution 0.1 – 1.0 μm) and 3D Microprinting (resolution of typically above 1 μm). With the transition being seamless, both fields reveal different requirements on the manufacturing process which will be discussed in terms of exposure strategy, overall resolution and accessible print height among others. As fabrication time in TPP directly correlates with the applied scanning resolution, the printing accuracy is the main distinctive parameter.
Enabling both 3D Lithography and 3D Microprinting in one TPP laser system imposes certain challenges which will be addressed with solutions being presented. As an outlook, hybrid fabrication approaches by combination of TPP and UV lithography will be discussed.
Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea has been arranged following the seminar, for participants to enjoy an opportunity to talk with Multiphoton Optics and ANFF-Qld specialists.
Please ensure you RSVP as space is limited.
Demonstration of MPO 100 System
In early 2023 we will be arranging some demonstration sessions of the MPO 100 Nano 3D printer. Please register your interest when booking on EventBrite.
