Access

The ANFF-Qld Facility is an open access research space hosted by the Australian Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) at The University of Queensland (UQ), St Lucia Campus, and Queensland Micro and Nanotechnology Centre at the Nathan Campus, Griffith University.

Since opening in 2008, ANFF-Qld has provided assistance to almost 300 users a year, welcoming staff and students and Australian Industry from around the South-East Queensland corner.

The ANFF-Qld Facilities at UQ and Griffith University, regularly support publicly funded researchers from – The University of Queensland, Griffith University, CSIRO, University of Southern Queensland, and Queensland University of Technology. We can also provide access and support to local government and interstate academics willing to travel.

Australian publicly funded researchers can access equipment from as little as 15 mins and $25.00 per hour for most ANFF-Qld equipment. Australian Industry rates begin at $61.00 per hour.

Building access processes will be specific to either The University of Queensland or Griffith University, however to begin your access request, send an email to ANFF-Qld Administration.

UQ ANFF-Qld Facility Users are required to complete an AIBN Building Induction and mandatory UQ safety and laboratory training before equipment training can begin. ANFF-Qld Admin will provide onboarding support for Non-UQ users to enable access to UQ systems.
