ANFF-Qld – New UQ Research Infrastructure Management System

Dear Facility Users and Group Supervisors,

As you may be aware, UQ is in the process of implementing a centralised Research Infrastructure Management System (RIMS).  RIMS is an online enterprise platform for registering, booking, and managing research infrastructure and related services in facilities across UQ.

RIMS is now live in in twenty-four UQ facilities to date, including the Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis (CMM); UQCCR – Mass Spectroscopy (UQCCR-MSF); the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBMS); the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI); the Centre for Advanced Imaging (CAI); Plant Growth (CRP); Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI); the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences (SCMB – Scientific Services) and the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB).

The ANFF-Qld Facility team are currently working with the RIMS Project Team to implement RIMS in ANFF-Q, with an estimated Go Live date in late November 2024.

Training on RIMS will be provided for facility staff, researchers, and budget holders in the weeks next few weeks and a link to sign up for training will be provided soon before we Go Live.

ANFF-Qld will continue to provide progress updates on the RIMS implementation going forward.
