Ethan Aung joined ANFF-Qld in July 2024, bringing more than 29 years of international experience across semiconductor manufacturing, advanced technology, engineering, operations and business leadership.

He has over 16 years of semiconductor industry experience with GlobalFoundries and Silanna Semiconductor, spanning process integration, yield engineering, technology development and transfer, new product introduction, and high-volume manufacturing across advanced technology nodes.

Ethan also brings more than 8 years of broader senior leadership experience across Asia, leading large-scale, multimillion-dollar businesses and operations in diverse industrial technology sectors. His experience includes P&L management, strategy, commercial growth, strategic partnerships and business development and operations across Southeast Asia, China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

At ANFF-Qld, Ethan leads programs and facility operations supporting advanced research infrastructure and fabrication capabilities across semiconductor, quantum, photonics and other emerging technologies, with a focus on operational performance, capability development, industry engagement and strategic partnerships.

Ethan holds an MBA, MSc in Consumer Electronics, Bachelor of Engineering and Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
