Dr Bingzhao Xia joined ANFF-Qld in 2020 as a Senior Professional Officer and provides training on soft lithography and the microfluidics platform. His expertise areas are in design and characterisation of droplet-based microfluidic systems.
He obtained his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Wyoming, USA, in 2016, where he developed a nitrogen purged microfluidic device for single cell encapsulation and in situ polymerization. He worked in AIBN, The University of Queensland, as a Microfluidic Bioengineer after receiving his PhD degree, and his research focused on evaluating the effects of stoichiometry ratios on cell reprogramming efficiency using microfluidic devices.
