As you may be aware, UQ is in the process of implementing a centralised Research Infrastructure Management System (RIMS). RIMS is an online enterprise platform for registering, booking, and managing research infrastructure and related services in facilities across UQ.

09.12.24 New Go Live Date for RIMS transition – Thursday 12th December 2024
ANFF-Qld is scheduled to Go-Live with the new UQ Research Infrastructure Management System (RIMS), effective 8.00 am Thursday 12 December.
RIMS training for impacted ANFF-Qld researchers and budget holders took place in November. A recording of the ANFF-Qld RIMS training was emailed to participants 20/11/24 along with RIMS User Guides for those unable to attend.

An email with key information for researchers and budget holders regarding the transition to RIMS, will be distributed on Wednesday 11 December.
A brief reminder that a suite of RIMS training guides is available for researchers and budget holders via the RIMS System Training Hub.
ANFF-Qld RIMS Go Live Date – 27th November 2024
The ANFF-Qld facility team are currently working with the RIMS Project Team to implement RIMS for ANFF-Qld with a scheduled RIMS Go Live date 27th November 2024. This transition will directly impact current UQ ANFF-Qld Facility users and budget-holders/account-holders/supervisors.
ANFF-Qld RIMS Training for ALL users and account holders – 12th & 14th November 2024
We invite all the ANFF-Qld users and account holders to attend training on ANFF-Qld RIMS. This includes our users from Griffith University, University of Southern Queensland, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), and Industry Customers to attend training.
The training will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, with two options available to allow you some flexibility. These sessions will be approximately one hour (including questions).
It’s important to attend this training to familiarise yourself with ANFF-Qld RIMS. For those of you who are currently using RIMS with other facilities, you are welcome to attend if you would like a refresher and to see what’s different.

24/10/24 – UQ RIMS Facilities available
RIMS is now live in in twenty-four UQ facilities to date, including the Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis (CMM); UQCCR – Mass Spectroscopy (UQCCR-MSF); the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBMS); the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI); the Centre for Advanced Imaging (CAI); Plant Growth (CRP); Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI); the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences (SCMB – Scientific Services) and the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB).
